El Ama de Llaves is one of the most special accommodations that you can find in the Orient of Asturias. A Rural House ubicated in Hontoria, with an offer of services that covers all requirements, in rural surroundings of exceptional beauty, in direct nearness of Picos de Europa and surrounded by the most beautiful beaches of Asturias.
This house with rural atmosphere as has been restored from an old country house from the 17th century, entirely with stone and chestnut wood and is fitted out with old-fashioned pieces of furniture. It is built in a property of 1500 square meters with a typical ‘Horreo’, a wood construction of Asturias were peasants stored their crop.
500 metres away from the beach, it offers five double rooms with telephone and television and baths with spa. Two of them are suites and one is prepared for disabled. Ama de Llaves has also a wide parking.
Definitively, a confortable rural house, with an Asturian taste and tradition from which you can program or practise lots of activities, from sports, to landscape or gastronomy, from canoeing to trekking.
How do I arrive to Ama de Llaves?
The National road N-634, future Cantabric Highway, crosses the Council of Llanes. You can arrive there by Santander or Oviedo connection. The village of Hontoria is situated in the middle way from the localities of Ribadesella and Llanes.
From Llanes
Get out in the exit of NAVES (with a bridge over the road), leaving the N-634.
After you pass NAVES you will find the village of Villahormes were you will
find an exit at your right hand with the indication HONTORIA – PLAYA
DE LA HUELGA. One kilometre from there you will find the village of Hontoria.
From Ribadesella
Get out in the exit of NUEVA. Cross the village and continue the road to the
village of Cardoso. Here, at the level of a restaurant take an exit to the
left hand with the indication HONTORIA. In the next 500 metres you will enter
to the village were you will find Ama de Llaves.
